Our Staff

Stephanie Salas is the Lead Funeral Arranger for Nevada Funeral Services. She started at our sister location, Truckee Meadows Cremation and Burial, in May 2018 before making the switch to Lead Arranger for Nevada Funeral Services in October 2019. Stephanie has an Associates of Science degree in Biology and is a certified medical assistant. Before making the move to Nevada to get into the funeral industry, she was a private banker. She utilizes her compassion and interpersonal skills to assist every one of her families. She is a first generation Mexican American and was born in California. When she isn't working in the office, she is working on staying active with cycling, pilates, jiu jitsu, or boxing. She always has to get in a morning workout, or at least a hike with her dogs. To balance out her active lifestyle, Stephanie has a passion for baking with her daughter. She just loves when her home smells like fresh cinnamon rolls.

Harrison Billian is the Managing Funeral Director of Truckee Meadows Cremation and Burial. He started with the company in February 2018 as a Funeral Arranger and quickly got licensed as a Director which evolved into the Managing Funeral Director. He was born in Reno, but raised in Anchorage, Alaska before his family moved back to Reno when he was a teenager. He is married to Taylor Billian, and together they have 2 young children. In his free time he likes to travel, spend time with friends and family, and work on his music. 

 Taylor Billian is the Office Manager of Truckee Meadows Cremation and Burial. She is also the Bookkeeper, Preneed Specialist, Notary Public, and licensed Funeral Director. She started with the company in March 2018 as an Administrative Assistant and moved up from there. She got into the industry after suffering the loss of her great-grandmother and great-uncle. She had the opportunity to do the cosmetics for both of their services and realized the impact she could make on other families. She has a degree in Psychology and takes great pride in working with her families as well as educating the public on the benefits of preplanning. Taylor is a 3rd generation Reno native and is married to Harrison Billian with whom she has 2 young children. In her free time, she loves to go on adventures with her friends and family, read, go camping, play board games, and work with her mother Denise Carter on their floral and keepsake business One in a Billian LLC. 

Zully Martinez is a Funeral Arranger and a Notary Public with Truckee Meadows Cremation and Burial. She started with the company in December 2021 as an Administrative Assistant. Zully came into the industry after being a caretaker for over 3 years. She carried the invaluable skills she learned there over to her position now and families constantly remark about her compassion and consideration. When she isn’t working, she likes to spend time with her husband, kids, and family. She also loves spending time with her 4 dogs, reading, and baking. 

Donna Sanders is the Lead Crematory Operator with Truckee Meadows Cremation and Burial. She started with the company in July 2006 as a part time Removal Technician and moved up to becoming a full time Crematory Operator in October 2009 which evolved into her position now. She is not only the weekday Crematory Operator, but she also oversees most of the care facility operations. Without the seamless teamwork between her and Denise we would not be able to get families loved ones back to them in such a timely manner. In her free time, she likes to take care of her family, spend time with her grandkids and dogs, and garden. 

Denise Carter is a Crematory Operator with Truckee Meadows Cremation and Burial. She started with the company part-time in October 2020 before moving to full-time in September 2022 and has evolved into our night and weekends Crematory Operator. Without the seamless teamwork between her and Donna we would not be able to get families loved ones back to them in such a timely manner. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her 5 grandkids and 2 dogs, go camping, and work with families in a different capacity with her daughter Taylor Billian in their floral and keepsake company One in a Billian LLC. 

Heather Williams is the Lead Removal Technician with Truckee Meadows Cremation and Burial. Together, she and Alex are out outstanding weekday team. She started with the company as an Administrative Assistant in August 2020, but quickly came to realize her true calling was being a “last responder” on the scene with families to provide comfort and guidance. When Heather isn’t working, she is home spending time with her dog and wife. 

Alex Gibson is a Removal Technician with Truckee Meadows Cremation and Burial. He started with the company in June 2023. Together, he and Heather are our outstanding weekday team. When he isn’t providing solace to families as a “last responder” he is going to school for forensic science. When Alex isn’t working, he is tending to his 200+ plants and is teaching himself Spanish.
